SomnoMed

The SomnoMed appliance has a unique streamlined design with minimal bulk, which maximizes the size of the lingual space and reduces gagging. The unique design provides anterior and posterior contact , which provides a stable occlusion and prevents tooth movement and minimizes termpero-mandibular joint discomfort and injury casued by bruxing. It is also constructed in two separate pieces that allow patients to open and close their mouths. The device is titratable and allows for each individual patient’s optimal protrusion position to be found. One that is both effective and comfortable for the patient.

EMA

The EMA appliance is a simple, patient friendly oral appliance created for noninvasive treatment of snoring and OSA. The primary treatment mechanism of opening the bite and gently moving the mandible forward is achieved with the use of interchangeable eleastic straps that offer varying degrees of mandibular advancement. The felxibility of these elastic straps provides unsurpassed lateral movement and overall TMJ comfort. The 2mm thick pressure formed bases offer orthodontic retention (resulting in no tooth movement) and maximum anterior tongue space because there are no projections in the palate trays are pressure formed to the patient’s models and utilitze the undercut areas of the teeth for retention. This insures that there will be no movement of the patient’s teeth. Bite planes are used to open the bite. Mandibular advancement is achieved with different length of straps. The elastic pull can also be adjusted to suit the patient’s musculature. The straps provide complete lateral movement.

Silencer

The Silencer is a laboratory fabricated fully adjustable oral appliance for the treatment of sleep apnea and snoring. The appliance features a titanium precision attachment, which controls the anatomical settings of the appliance. It is capable of anteroposterior adjustment as well as vertical adjustment through a range of 10mm, in both dimensions. The design of the precision attachment also allows lateral movement of the mandible which respects and protects the TMJ. The titanium Halstom Hinge is made of implant grade titanium. The commercially pure titanium articulating component gives the appliance the many adjustment charcteristics that make the Silencer unique-kind to the tissues, the teeth, and the temporomandibular joint.

Herbst

The Herbst appliance has been proven to be effective in the treatment of snoring and mild to moderate OSA. Adjustability is the primary advantage of the Herbst appliance in snoring and OSA cases. The post and sleeve mechanism advances the jaw into a forward position. If desired relief is not immediately achieved, this unique appliance design allows for additional forward movement of the mandible. With standard hardware, the mandible is advanced in 1mm increments by adding advancement shims and posts.

Moses

The Moses is the only appliance that incorporates all 3 attributes of a successful anti-snore appliance. It has a separate flexible retainer helps prevent tooth movement and acts as an anchor for the entire maxiallary arch. Attached to the base and determines how far the mandible is protruded. The Moses will be delivered to you pre-set according to your bite registration. The buccal mounted advancement screws allow for an open anterior space for the tongue. The base of the device is specifically designed. The acrylic guides and stimulates the tongue to a protrusive or anterior position.

Oasys

The Oasys Oral/Nasal Airway System is the first dental device to address both vulnreable regions of the respiratory tract. By repositioning the mandible it holds the lower jaw forward to keep open the pharyngeal area in back of the tongue. Acting as a nasal dilator, it decreases airway resistance so it improves ease of airflow through the nasal passage. It not only repositions the lower jaw forward and opens the nasal passages for better breathing, but also helps to guide the tingue forward to further enlarge the breathing opening.
